Good morning WPACES family!  I am here today to first let me introduce myself my name is Miss Kemp. I am your parent liaison splash program coordinator I am before you today to talk about sickle cell disease this is our Sickle Cell awareness month and first calendar I'm excited to say that it will be our Sickle Cell awareness walk now before I get into details about our walk and our communities I would like for you to take a quick look at this video I have sickle cell I have a sickle cell 1/2 sickle cell disease is a genetic blood disorder that causes red blood cells to form an association which can block blood flow and oxygen from getting to the body's tissues and organs different kinds of ear pain and other serious health problem people with sickle cell disease come from places around the world like sub-Saharan Africa South America the Caribbean Central America Saudi Arabia India and Mediterranean countries such as Turkey Greece and Italy you can have sickle cell no matter what you look like or where your family comes from remember that Sickle cell has thank you for watching a quick video let's get into the details about our Sickle Cell awareness walk we will have our walk and person the school however due to our current vertical status we will be walking in our own communities at home so I just asked that all students need rest and bread and let's just let's get the walk-in takes plenty of pictures and videos you can send all videos pictures to my email at our camp wpaces.net in the car wpaces.
